Attendance Policy

Regular attendance is crucial for academic success and personal growth. To maintain the integrity of the educational process, the following attendance rules are implemented:

General Guidelines

Attendance Requirement - Parents are expected to ensure their wards attend school regularly. Absences should be avoided except under unavoidable circumstances as they significantly disrupt the learning progression of the student.

Punctuality - Students must arrive at the school premises before the commencement of school to ensure a timely start to their academic activities.

Leave Notification - In the event of an absence, parents are required to send a leave note explaining the reason for the student’s absence.

Procedure for Absences

Unauthorized Absence - If a student is absent without prior permission, upon returning to school, a valid reason must be recorded and signed by the parent/guardian in the leave record of the student’s diary.

Health Concerns - Students diagnosed with an infectious disease must refrain from attending school until they are medically cleared to return. This is to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff.

Critical Attendance Days - Absence on the re-opening day of any term is strictly prohibited unless supported by a grave and unavoidable reason.

Consequences of Irregular Attendance

Irregular Attendance - Habitual absence without compelling reasons may lead to disciplinary actions, including possible dismissal or detention in the same grade for an additional year, as consistent attendance is integral to the educational process at our school.
